Another winner of an Expeditions Oral History project concerns one of our first projects (1999) in Belgium: Listening to a city called Louvain (in dutch: Luister van Leuven), concerning the social and cultural change in the Expeditions home town Louvain before and after the Second World War.

Not without pride we can affirm that all our customers till this very day are pleased with our expertise. And before we start, we always want to be certain that it is a win-win for all involved parties. Our customers are making a substantial profit. Our books sell!

I want to congratulate Expeditions with the publication of this book. It is indeed a very valuable research whereby many aspects of the nearby history of our city are revealed in a clear and original way. It is not about the mere differences between the past and the present, but about the way in which the former grew into the latter. Therefore by reading this oral history, the social and cultural processes which connect past and present are better understood.
